Who We Are
Work With Us
This workshop focuses on the hands-on practice to develop and scan your own black and white film, all without the use of a traditional darkroom.
Covid-19 Notice: At GPP we’re committed to keeping you, our students, our teachers and our colleagues safe. Following the government’s latest guidelines, we want to share with you our combined efforts to provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience when you visit our space or take a workshop - Check out the blog here for more information on social distancing in workshops.
With analog film — exposure doesn’t stop inside the camera. Once you’ve grasped the basics of shooting film, it’s time to take back control of a crucial step of the process: chemical development and scanning.
Is having a lab develop your rolls getting too expensive? This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get started with developing and scanning film by yourself: no darkroom required!
From timing, chemical composition, temperature, and more — we’ll teach you everything that goes into film processing, both theoretically and practically. You’ll actually shoot, develop, and scan your complimentary roll of film under the guidance of our experienced instructors, alongside other likeminded film-heads in this fun-filled course.
Suitable for those who have completed our The Basics of Analog Photography: Analog Level 1 workshop.
You should have a thorough understanding of ISO, aperture and shutter speed and how all of these relate to each other to achieve an ideal exposure.
