Escape the city with us and our friends at Carmencita Lab. As part of our Chemistry of Feeling programming, we're taking film-photography lovers on an exploration of Qudra lakes. On this photowalk, you'll have guided instruction on how to maximize your roll of 1Hundred film (generously provided by Carmencita Lab), all while shooting the colours, textures, flora and fauna of the natural environment before the sun sets. If you're looking to learn how to use your film camera to it's maximum, this photowalk is for you.
Exploring the area with your guide, you will be set some photo challenges, aimed at presenting a new way of seeing things. You will come home with a variety of images from your afternoon.
Included in the price of the workshop is a roll of 1Hundred 35mm Film, as well as processing, developing and scanning by Carmencita Film Lab. Our meeting point will be Last Exit, Al Qudra.
• How to overcome technical obstacles when shooting with film and film cameras in the field
• What to seek out when composing images to maximize your 36 frames in one roll of film
• How to work with changing lighting conditions
• Slowing down to look, see, feel before shooting
Suitable for all film-photography enthusiasts.
We recommend having some knowledge on how your film camera works, if you'd like to learn before the photowalk, we recommend signing up for our Level 1 Photography workshop, or our Analog 1 workshop, Shoot it!
Please note that this photo walk is entirely done on foot, so expect lots of walking.

Can I pay for my workshop on the first day of class?
Payment must be made prior to the start of your workshop in order to guarantee you a spot in the workshop. You can book your workshop on our website or pass by GPP in person during our regular working hours so we can help you process payment and get booked in.
Can I get a certificate for my workshop?
We are not an accredited institution, so we do not issue degrees or certifications like those awarded by universities. However, we are happy to prepare you a custom certificate of completion for any workshop that you take with us. Send us an email at least 3 days before the start of your workshop, and we’ll have your certificate ready and waiting for you to collect at the end of your class.
Can I take a workshop if I don't have my own camera?
Sure thing! If you don’t have your own DSLR or mirrorless camera, we have a limited number of loan cameras available that you can borrow (free of charge!) during your Photography Level 1, Photography Level 2, or Introduction to Video workshop. All you need to bring is your own SD card.
To request to borrow a loan camera for your workshop, email us at least 36 hours in advance of your workshop with the subject line "Help! I Need a Camera!”; please include your workshop dates and order confirmation number in the email. Please note that we have a limited number of loan cameras available, and the program works on a first-come, first-served basis.
