Hahnemühle William Turner® 310gsm

Hahnemühle William Turner® 310gsm is named after J.M.W. Turner for a reason: it's a paper designed for work that wants to be experienced as much as seen. A traditional mould-made cotton watercolour paper with an inkjet coating, it has the most pronounced surface texture in GPP's range — fine but deeply defined, giving prints an extraordinary three-dimensional quality where shadows seem to settle into the paper and highlights catch the light differently from every angle.

At 310gsm, 100% cotton, and OBA-free, William Turner is acid- and lignin-free with archival construction to ISO 9706. The warm white base adds to the artwork quality — this is not a neutral substrate, it's part of the image. The premium matt inkjet coating ensures the texture doesn't compromise sharpness: detail and contrast remain strong even across the pronounced surface.

At GPP, William Turner is the strongest recommendation for anyone reproducing paintings, watercolours, or mixed-media work, and for photographers whose aesthetic aligns with traditional art-making — immersive landscapes, atmospheric environmental portraits, black-and-white work that wants gravitas. It's the paper where the substrate and the image become inseparable.
