Ebrahim Elmoly, born in Alexandria, Egypt, is a visual artist who studied visual storytelling at DMJX in Denmark. His work straddles the realms of photography, journalism, and art, earning him recognition as an AFAC Grantee in the 2018 Arab Documentary Photography Program.
His first solo exhibition, "Escape from Egypt" (2014) at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, delved into the plight of illegal immigrants. The second solo exhibition, "You Will Never See the Sun Again," focused on the experiences of youth during the Arab Spring and took place at Rotterdam Photo Week in 2022.
Ebrahim's impactful contributions extend to collaborations with organizations like UNHCR, Red Cross, UNDP, and Save the Children. His award-winning photographs, including a gold medal from National Geographic, have been showcased in exhibitions globally, from UAE and France to the USA, Germany, Denmark, Cyprus, England, and beyond.
