Based in Palestine
Wahaj Bani Moufleh, known as the “Eye of the Mountain,” began his journey on May 2, 2021, when settlers attempted to establish a settlement on Jabal Sabih during the peak of Israeli escalation. With limited savings, he bought a small camera to document the Palestinian perspective. Despite constant violence and risks, his photos captured Beita’s model of popular resistance. Wahaj is also studying Digital Media at the Arab American University to further amplify the stories of his people and spread their message globally. His dedication to visual storytelling has been internationally recognized, earning him second place in the prestigious International Photography Awards (IPA), ranking among the top five in the Photojournalism category.
