Maen Hammad is a documentary photographer and writer. Born in Palestine and raised in the suburbs of Michigan, he is currently based in Ramallah. His images and writing has appeared in TIME, Dazed MENA, Parapraxis Magazine, among others. His debut monograph, Landing (Huwawa Books, 2025), explores the lives of Palestinian skateboarders in the occupied West Bank as they navigate the layered realities of Israeli settler-colonial domination. He is a recipient of the Magnum Foundation’s Counter Histories fellowship and a grantee of the Arab Documentary Photography Program. Alongside his artistic practice, Maen works as a researcher and campaigner. He holds an MA in International Affairs from George Washington University.
