The Basics of Analog Photography | Level 2: Develop it

With analog film — exposure doesn’t stop inside the camera. Once you’ve grasped the basics of shooting film, it’s time to take back control of a crucial step of the process: chemical development and scanning.

Is having a lab develop your rolls getting too expensive? This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get started with developing and scanning film by yourself: no darkroom required!

From timing, chemical composition, temperature, and more — we’ll teach you everything that goes into film processing, both theoretically and practically. You’ll actually shoot, develop, and scan your complimentary roll of film under the guidance of our experienced instructors, alongside other likeminded film-heads in this fun-filled course.

What's included?

• 4.5 hours
• Kentmere 35mm B&W Film to shoot and develop during the workshop
• Chemicals (Developer, Stopper, Fixing, Wetting Agent)

To request to borrow a loan camera for your workshop, email us at least 36 hours in advance of your workshop with the subject line "Help! I Need a Camera!”; please include your workshop dates and order confirmation number in the email. Please note that we have a limited number of loan cameras available, and the program works on a first-come, first-served basis.
