Time is a paper (2024-)

Ibi Ibrahim's work is part of an ongoing series in which he works with expired dark-room paper. The paper used is often donated from other artists who no longer have any need for the paper. The works speak to the desire to turn each sheet into a work of art, rather than leave it unused.

The essence of the project is time, and understanding that one holds no control over the storyline of these papers. Time is paper, and there is a new life given to this so-called expired material each time Ibrahim enters the darkroom.
