It's the seventh edition of GPP Slidefest, FREE event open for all to attend!

Slidefest is a quarterly event organized by GPP and held in a 300+ seat Knowledge Village Auditorium, where locally-based photographers from all walks of life present personal projects and share inspiring work.  Slidefest presentations are fast paced, lasting roughly 5 minutes each followed by a brief Q&A period, giving the  audience an opportunity to interact with the presenter.  

Previous Slidefest presentations span a wide range of genres, sharing poignant images documenting crisis and the human condition, street photography, and fine art images, reflecting the diverse presenters who come from all over the world and all areas of the industry. The photo stories and subject matter are varied and inspiring, you might even pick up a tip or two!

With programmes like Slidefest, we hope to promote and develop the art and science of photography as a medium of creative expression.  GPP programs act as a platform by which enthusiasts can interact and connect, learn from and inspire one another with the language of photography.

If you or someone you know would like to participate in GPP Slidefest, let us know!  To be considered, your project must follow a common theme, be a personal project and be unique.  If you have a Slidefest-worthy project you'd like to share, email info@gulfphotoplus.com with the following:

• * 5-7 sample images from your project, or a link to the appropriate part of your portfolio
• * An artist statement, or at least a paragraph, explaining your project
