About the Speaker: Augustine Paredes is a Filipino artist and photographer based in Dubai. With a degree in Communication Arts, he worked in the advertising industry as a copywriter and art director, before focusing on commercial photography. As an artist, Augustine’s lyrical, contemporary, and sensuous visual narratives are derived from his many-storied travels, Southeast Asian consciousness, and curious gaze.

 

With no gallery representation, he has been exhibited internationally, most notably in Art Dubai 2019, and was nominated for the World Photo Press Joop Swart Masterclass. He works with brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Les Benjamins, Puma, Adidas, Nike, and has been featured in international publications such as Vogue, GQ, Elle, Der Grief, Canvas, Cosmopolitan, MEGA, and French Madame.
