Have you mastered semi-manual modes? It’s time to shoot in full manual. This workshop will teach you the creative and technical possibilities that can be achieved with your DSLR or Mirrorless camera.

Suitable for those who have completed our Photography Level 1 workshop.

 

You should have a thorough understanding of ISO, aperture and shutter speed and how all of these relate to each other to achieve a creatively correct exposure. If you are not familiar with these terms or currently shoot in auto or P mode, enroll for our Photography Level 1 workshop.

This workshop covers advanced photographic technical processes including HDR (High Dynamic Range), panning and light painting. We will dive into compositional theory, learning how to apply advanced techniques to create engaging and balanced photos. You will also receive real world advice for creating images in a variety of genres of photography. Some of the featured topics include Portraiture, Travel and Food Photography.

  • Camera manual (optional)
  • Tripod (if you have one)
  • Empty memory card for your camera with an identifying mark
  • Notebook
  • Pen
Need a camera? If you do not yet own a DSLR/Mirrorless camera, GPP is happy to lend you one of our Sony a6300's to use during your workshop, free of charge! All you need to bring is your own SD card.
 
To request to reserve a loan camera for your workshop, just email us at info@gulfphotoplus.com with the subject line "Help! I need a Camera!" and include your workshops dates and order confirmation number in the email. Please note that we have a limited number of loan cameras available and the program works on a first come, first served basis.

Cancellation Policy
  • If cancelled 7 days prior to the start of your workshop, you will be issued a 90% refund or may be rescheduled to another date(s).
  • If cancelled a minimum of 3 days (72 hours) prior to the start of your workshop, no refund is possible, but you may be rescheduled to another workshop date(s).
  • If cancelled less than 3 days (72 hours) in advance of your workshop, no refund and no reschedule is possible.

 

GPP reserves the right to change the location of any workshop to another location within the same city and/or emirate as deemed needful in accordance with management discretion.

Workshops can be rescheduled within 3 months of the originally booked workshop date(s).

Bookings can only be transferred ONCE, including in the event of a workshop relocation.  If you transfer your workshop booking and later wish to cancel it, we will unfortunately not be able to refund or reschedule you under any circumstances.

Please Note: Our classes are open to ANY brand of camera: Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Fuji and any other intermediate to advanced cameras (As long as they have manual controls i.e. NOT point-and-shoots) are welcome!
