Photo Walk | Al Wathba Fossil Dunes Desert

Join us for a nature photowalk in Al Wathba on one of the largest concentrations of fossil dunes in the emirate.

Join us for a nature photowalk in Al Wathba Fossil Dunes. Located 45 kilometres to the east of Abu Dhabi, Al Wathba Fossil Dunes Protected Area comprises more than 1,700 fossil dunes, spread over 7 square kilometres, making it one of the largest concentrations of fossil dunes in the emirate.


The photowalk will start with a theory session, covering the etiquettes of being in the large fossil formation, the history behind the natural scenery. 


This photowalk is designed to hone your landscape and nature photography skills. Participants will walk the 3km trail to photograph and document their findings: the shapes, textures, and secrets of the fossils. 


Bus ride takes roughly 50 minutes from Warehouse421 in Mina Zayed to the fossil dunes.

Participants will gather at the Warehouse 421 location. It is important that all participants show up to the Mina Zayed location approximately 15 minutes before the start of the workshop.

Cancellation Policy
  • If you cancel your photo walk a minimum of 7 days in advance of your photo walk, you will be issued a 90% refund or may be rescheduled to another date(s).
  • If you cancel your photo walk a minimum of 5 days in advance of your photo walk, no refund will be issued but you may be rescheduled to another date(s).
  • If you cancel your photo walk less than 5 days in advance of your photo walk, no refund and no reschedule is possible.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Photo walks can be rescheduled within 1 month of the original booking and within the same photo walk type, only if there is availability on the new date requested. 
  • Bookings can only be transferred ONCE. If you transfer your photo walk booking and later wish to cancel it, we will not be able to refund or reschedule you under any circumstances. 
  • You must be 18 or older to attend this photo walk. If you are younger than 18 or booking for someone under 18 years of age, please contact us first and we will be happy to advise you.
