Designed with photographers in mind, this workshop will equip you with the tools, inspiration and motivation required to launch your own family photography business.

This workshop with two successful family photographers, Natalie Robinson and Lianne Dawes, will take you through:

  1. The full business cycle including: pricing, locations, managing clients, managing the shoot, creating your own shot lists, culling and editing techniques, delivering images.
  2. Identifying your ideal clients, social media and marketing.
  3. Engaging with clients before and during the shoot to create authentic family connections.
  4. Location scouting, time of day considerations, natural light decisions and the creation of your own practical shot lists. Plus, a recap on shooting in manual, including some practical exercises.
  5. Watch us shoot with families in a "behind the scenes" video.
  6. The choice and editing decisions we make in creating a final gallery of images.
  7. An introduction to our 6 photographic elements that will strengthen your images and portfolio. 
  8. How to nourish your creativity as a lifestyle family photographer and continue your growth after the workshop.

who should attend

This workshop is suitable for those who are proficient in shooting in aperture priority and/or manual, who are at the beginning stages of starting their photography business. You might already have some experience in working with / shooting children and families and are keen to pursue this area of photography and grow your knowledge and experience quickly.

Cancellation Policy
  • If cancelled 7 days prior to the start of your workshop, you will be issued a 90% refund or may be rescheduled to another date(s).
  • If cancelled a minimum of 3 days (72 hours) prior to the start of your workshop, no refund is possible, but you may be rescheduled to another workshop date(s).
  • If cancelled less than 3 days (72 hours) in advance of your workshop, no refund and no reschedule is possible.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • GPP reserves the right to change the location of any workshop to another location within the same city and/or emirate as deemed needful in accordance with management discretion.
  • Workshops can be rescheduled within 3 months of the originally booked workshop date(s).
  • Bookings can only be transferred ONCE, including in the event of a workshop relocation. If you transfer your workshop booking and later wish to cancel it, we will unfortunately not be able to refund or reschedule you under any circumstances.
  • You must be 18 or older to attend this workshop. If you are younger than 18 or booking for someone under 18 years of age, please contact us first and we will be happy to advise you.
