Alserkal Avenue is the region’s foremost arts and culture neighbourhood – a self-sustaining community that is dedicated to promoting arts and culture. Since it was established in 2007, Alserkal Avenue has grown to become an essential platform for the development of homegrown artistic and cultural initiatives, supporting a vibrant community of contemporary art galleries and alternative community spaces, together with design, media and industrial studios, as well as creative concepts led by Dubai-based entrepreneurs.

Please Note: Alserkal Avenue is wheelchair accessible; however, kindly note that there are no wheelchair accessible restrooms available within Alserkal Avenue.

Please Note: There are no publicly accessible prayer rooms within the Avenue. However, there is a mosque 10 minutes walking distance from Alserkal Avenue on 8th Street.

Directions

BY CAR

If you are driving to GPP Photo Week 2017 from Sheikh Zayed Road, take Exit 43 towards Al Manara East Street. You will come to a T - intersection in front of the Home Centre warehouses. At the signal, take right. Continue straight and take the first street on your right-hand side. The entrance to Alserkal Avenue will be on your left-hand side. Parking is available both inside and outside of the Avenue.

BY METRO

If you are coming to GPP Photo Week 2017 using the Dubai Metro, you may come to either FGB metro station or to the Noor Islamic Bank metro station. Both are on the metro’s Red Line. From either of these two stations you will need to take a taxi to Alserkal Avenue. The taxi fare from either metro to Alserkal Avenue is approximately AED 12 - 15, and you may plan the metro portion of your journey on the RTA website linked here.
