If you think that the reason you can’t take a good portrait is that you don’t have access to a great wardrobe and expensive props, or if you are stuck using the same headpiece over and over again because that’s the only one you own, this fun two day workshop is the right one for you.
We will build our own props and then use them to stage a quirky portrait with a weird fashion flair.
During this workshop you will learn how to pose your model and light her for a beauty portrait and how to make small adjustments that make a big difference in the final image.
I will talk about the importance of creating your photo around a strong concept and communicate your ideas to everyone working with you on set, with the help of references and moodboards.
A beauty portrait isn’t over when you download your images on the computer, and post production can make or break your shot. I will be going over some Photoshop tools as we work together on a few images from my demo photo shoot. I’ll be covering skin retouching techniques, some basic compositing and toning and you will be given a set of actions and images to take home with you and experiment with, so that you will be able to practice right away what you learnt in class.
