The For the Love of Beirut relief print sale has now closed. After the devastating blast that shook Beirut on August 4, 2020, we partnered with artists for two different print sales to raise funds for the Lebanese Red Cross. The first was an individual print sale with photographer Roï Saade as part of an auxiliary print sale from our exhibition All What I Want is Life, and the second was a 2-week collaborative print sale, For the Love of Beirut. For the Love of Beirut was organised by GPP (@gulfphotoplus) and Ruwa (@ruwaspace) in partnership with Beirut Center of Photography, (@beirutcenterofphotography) In My House, and Jadaliyya (@jadaliyya) to celebrate a love and intimate appreciation for the city, and to support the communities affected by the blast. The sale brought together a selection of over 60 Lebanese, Middle East, and international visual artists who generously donated from their most coveted bodies of work to support relief efforts in Beirut. These pieces were produced as fine art, open edition prints (sized at 10x15 inches and costing USD 135 + shipping) that were sold and shipped worldwide with 100% of net proceeds going to the Lebanese Red Cross. We are pleased to announce that the final numbers for these two print sales and the total amount raised for the Lebanese Red Cross are as follows: → 67 images available → 822 prints sold from #ForTheLoveOfBeirut → 86 prints sold by Roï Saade → Prints delivered to 40 countries → TOTAL RAISED: $100,503 Still looking for ways to support Beirut? Consider donating directly to the Lebanese Red Cross or supporting through any of these resources - We Are the Medium - Arab Fund for Arts and Culture - Arab Image Foundation If you would like to continue supporting artists more widely, please consider purchasing a print from our Editions collection.
