Community Open Call for 'Past, Borrowed'
This seminar explored the role of text in visual art. Beginning with an overview of different ways textual matter infiltrates images, the seminar focused on work descriptions and didactic statements, unpacking a variety of artist statements to understand how they perform.

In this 90-minute seminar, Tanya addresses critical theory around issues of representation, community engagement, participatory approaches, and ethical considerations of using story telling as a tool for social transformation.
