Level: Photography - Confident BeginnerMore info
As more DSLR’s are incorporating good quality video capabilities, photographers increasingly want to add video to their skill set. When you’re an all-in-one director, interviewer, cameraperson and sound technician, you need to be well prepared and work efficiently. Most of us don’t have large film crews (or budgets) to work with so it’s important to learn to achieve quality results with only the gear on our backs and a good idea. This lecture will help you do that.
DSLR Video for Photographers will explain the basics of shooting DSLR video and will be catered to a single cameraperson without crew. We will offer suggestions for kits that will help you do interviews or two-camera narratives with only the gear you can carry. As well as DSLR settings and skills, we’ll also look at other necessities such as stands, lighting and audio capture. No video is complete without editing so we’ll show you some preferred approaches and software for doing that too.
This course is intended for students with at least a basic understanding of DSLR’s.
