Working with a live model, a dedicated hair and makeup artist, and a combination of natural light and studio gear, you will have the opportunity to encounter the world of fashion photography from start to finish.

What's Covered

This workshop provides a combination of theoretical training and hands-on practice in how to create compelling and evocative fashion images. You will learn how to create a moodboard, how to manage the elements that go into a real client shoot (sourcing models, working with hair and makeup artists, understanding the client's brief), and how to deliver great results on time and on budget. During the live shooting portion of the workshop, you will work with a model, dedicated hair and makeup artist, and a combination of natural light and studio gear. You will also be introduced to the essential concepts of retouching fashion images and how to select a retoucher that best fits your style and workflow. The workshop will end with a Q&A and image review session.

This workshop is open to all intermediate photographers who are looking to expand into fashion photography. Perfect for photographers, designers, bloggers, and fashion enthusiasts who want a more polished look for their portfolio, website, or social media accounts.

 

Ideal for those who have completed our Photography Level 1, Photography Level 2 & Introduction to Studio Lighting workshops (or possessing comparable skills). It is recommended (but not required) to also complete our  Adobe Photoshop Level 1 and/or Adobe Lightroom Level 1  workshops prior to attending this workshop.

Cancellation Policy
  • If cancelled 7 days prior to the start of your workshop, you will be issued a 90% refund or may be rescheduled to another date(s).
  • If cancelled a minimum of 3 days (72 hours) prior to the start of your workshop, no refund is possible, but you may be rescheduled to another workshop date(s).
  • If cancelled less than 3 days (72 hours) in advance of your workshop, no refund and no reschedule is possible.

 

GPP reserves the right to change the location of any workshop to another location within the same city and/or emirate as deemed needful in accordance with management discretion.

Workshops can be rescheduled within 3 months of the originally booked workshop date(s).

Bookings can only be transferred ONCE, including in the event of a workshop relocation.  If you transfer your workshop booking and later wish to cancel it, we will unfortunately not be able to refund or reschedule you under any circumstances.

Please Note: Our classes are open to ANY brand of camera: Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Fuji and any other intermediate to advanced cameras (As long as they have manual controls i.e. NOT point-and-shoots) are welcome!
