Where can I get my camera serviced in the UAE?

We receive a lot of enquiries about where and how to get your cameras and lenses repaired, serviced, fixed or cleaned in the UAE. Here's a general idea on where to go, depending on what camera you use and a few tips if you're going to do it yourself.

The Specialist Technique General Trading team have been trained by Hasselblad, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm and Canon and have been handling cameras for over 20 years. They charge AED125 to clean full-frame cameras and around AED75 for cameras with a cropped sensor. Prices for cleaning/servicing body and lenses start at AED125 to around AED300. A full quotation will be given when you drop your camera off, subject to inspection.

Rashid Hakim has been cleaning, servicing and repairing cameras and lenses for 30 years. They also specialise in servicing vintage cameras. Cleaning takes approximately 1-2 days, servicing depends on individual circumstances. Camera Repair charge AED200 to AED250 to clean full-frame cameras and around AED150 for cameras with a cropped sensor. A full quotation will be given when you drop your camera off, subject to inspection.

Sensor cleaning costs up to AED300 for full-frame Nikon cameras and from AED100 for cropped sensor Nikons and Fujifilms. Cleaning takes approximately 5 days, servicing takes 7 days and repair work can take up to 2 weeks depending on availability of parts.  A full quotation will be given when you drop your camera off, subject to inspection.

You'll only be charged if your camera is out-of-warranty. If this is the case, a full quotation will be given when you drop your camera off, subject to inspection.
