Artist Statement

This photograph captures the colours of a forest reflecting upwards from the water at the foot of the trees.   The uneven texture of the water's surface plays with the forest shapes twisting them into a painterly abstraction.

About this photograph, Simon explained "The image made me think of the fairy tale stories I remember reading as a kid. I find reflections evocative and dream-like"
