10 Portrait Retouching Techniques Every Photographer Needs to Know

RC Concepcion | Processing - Confident Beginner

As a photographer, your job is to make pictures.  While it's always great to sit around and play in Photoshop, there are times where you do not have hours to do so.  It's also not cost effective for you to send out your work to a retoucher for some work that you could do yourself.

In this seminar, RC Concepcion (curriculum developer of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and host of Photography Tips and Tricks) will go over some of the common techniques used in portrait retouching so you can make them a part of your digital arsenal.  RC will go over a couple of finishing tricks and cool effects to give your images a different look - not in hours but in minutes.

You are familiar with aperture, shutter, ISO and understand how these work together to create a correct exposure. You shoot in Aperture or Shutter Priority modes and can use the basic features on your digital camera confidently.

You have a basic understanding of the entry-level image adjustment features of Photoshop and can apply simple enhancements to your work (i.e. saturation, contrast, brightness..etc).

You are looking to consolidate your understanding, increase your repertoire of tools and learn some more creative techniques.

To take part in this seminar, you also need to have a good understanding of Photoshop basic tools as the instructor will not be able to give you personal attention if you are not at the right level for this class. If you'd like to catch up on this knowledge, please consider taking GPPs regular workshop Introduction to Adobe Photoshop or equivalent. A 10% discount on Introduction to Adobe Photoshop is available for those who book this workshop - please contact us to avail of this offer once youve made your booking into this workshop.
