As if we never came is a long term project exploring the Afro-Yemeni diaspora experience, drawing inspiration from Shaima's family journey. It addresses the challenge of understanding identity amidst a lack of recorded history. The project seeks to honor the journeys of diaspora communities, empowering individuals to embrace their identity and reclaim their silenced voices.
